Balfour Beatty agrees deal for 拢65m Manchester scheme Balfour Beatty has agreed a funding deal with insurer AIG for a major build-to-rent development in Manchester, worth an estimated 拢65m. Balfour Beatty Investments reached financial close with AIG Global Real Estate, AIG鈥檚 property investment arm, for The Lancastrian development in Manchester鈥檚 city centre.

TfL in talks to extend Crossrail eastwards Transport for London has begun talks over the possibility of extending the Elizabeth line east of Abbey Wood into Kent. Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said options to extend the line from Abbey Wood to Ebbsfleet were now in development, and that TfL had begun discussions with Network Rail over moving forward with the scheme.
