Chinese contractor to lead 拢1bn Bolton regen Chinese contractor Beijing Construction and Engineering Group International has won a deal to deliver a 拢1bn regeneration of Bolton鈥檚 town centre. BCEGI has now agreed a heads of terms deal to join the consortium behind the scheme and lead on its delivery. The 拢1bn transformation of Bolton will see 1,800 homes built and is expected to create 7,400 jobs on five key sites in the town.
Mace replaces Skanska on 拢500m Cambridge pharma HQ AstraZeneca has replaced Skanska with Mace on its Cambridge HQ and pushed back completion of the project to 2020. The scheme was first unveiled in 2013 with an expectation that the 拢330m research centre and corporate HQ would be completed by 2016. However, since then the cost has increased to more than 拢500m and the programme has faced delays.
Lendlease reveals 拢5.8bn HS2 Euston redevelopment value The redevelopment of the area around HS2鈥檚 Euston station could be worth nearly 拢6bn, the company behind the project鈥檚 masterplan has revealed. Lendlease, which won the master-developer contract in February, said it expected the overall Euston redevelopment covering the area around the station to be worth AUS$10.2bn (拢5.8bn) when fully completed.
