Kier Construction has been picked as the preferred partner to deliver a 拢50m revamp of Plymouth Argyle鈥檚 Home Park ground. The Higher Home Park scheme from club owner Akkeron includes a brand new grandstand, 10-screen cinema, a 1,500-seat ice-rink and 120-bed hotel. The new 拢10m grandstand will complete the missing element of the stadium after contractor Barr built three stands at the ground six years ago. Kier Construction is now calling up local trade contractors to potentially work with them on the project.

Source:

Skanska UK has announced it will not build any more homes as a developer under its Homes by Skanska brand 鈥渇or the forseeable future鈥. The company is pulling out of residential development in the UK, saying it can make better returns in infrastructure, commercial development and construction. It will continue to build residential and mixed-use units, including luxury schemes, as a contractor and provide development services, such as masterplanning and layout, on sites owned by other firms.
But Skanska will no longer buy land for its own housebuilding.
