Balfour Beatty has been awarded an 拢87m contract for the commercial redevelopment of the St James鈥檚 Market area in London. The Crown Estate and Oxford Properties are redeveloping the two-block St James鈥檚 Market area between London鈥檚 Regent Street and Haymarket in a 50:50 joint venture. Balfour Beatty has been awarded the first 拢87m share of the redevelopment, which will be worth 拢320m over a 10-year period.

Laing O鈥橰ourke, Sir Robert McAlpine and Vinci are understood to have made it through the first round of bidding for the 拢120m Victoria Gate shopping centre.

Bam Construct lands 拢60m Rolls-Royce manufacturing facility

Bam Construct has been appointed to build a 拢60m technology and manufacturing facility for Rolls-Royce鈥檚 Aero Engine Controls in the West Midlands. Bam Construct will build the 28,000 sq m facility at the Birmingham Business Park, Solihill, to incorporate design, development, manufacturing and testing capabilities.
