Amid warnings that public sector capital investment will drop by 24 per cent by 2013/14, three of the biggest firms increased their proportion of public sector work won.

But others have been moving sharply away from work in health, education, social housing and community/amenities, to position themselves in new and growing markets (see charts, bottom).
