A shortlist of six contractors are in the process of being selected and invitations to tender will be issued mid May 2013 for the 拢30 million bypass project for Northumberland County Council. Works are expected to commence September/October 2013 and take approximately 15 months. Scheme comprises the construction of a new 2.5 km single lane carriageway. This will include four new culverts, piling works, landscaping, drainage, lighting and signing installation.
