Gloucestershire County Council is currently inviting applications to tender for contractors for a highways and transportation services contract. Expression of interest should be made by 14th January 2013, with tenders expected to be invited 18th February 2013. The scheme, proposed throughout the county of Gloucestershire will include safety and infrastructure improvements, public rights of way, signals design, work scheduling, street lighting, structural maintenance etc. Works on the contract, estimated to be between 拢150 million and 拢450 million, are scheduled to commence from April 1st 2014 for an initial period of 5 years.
