Kier and Skanska battle for Carillion鈥檚 拢350m Midland hospital Kier and Skanska are the two contractors left battling to replace Carillion on the Midland Metropolitan Hospital contract, Construction News understands. CN has learned that the hospital is close to appointing a new main contractor on the project, which has been on pause following Carillion鈥檚 liquidation.

Carillion: Robertson takes over 拢36m college scheme Robertson has taken over the contract for a 拢36m college development in Greater Manchester from Carillion, following the collapse of the UK鈥檚 second-biggest contractor in January. Tameside Council has approved the proposal to replace Carillion with Robertson to build Tameside College鈥檚 new Advanced Learning Centre, with all Carillion staff being transferred to the Scottish-based contractor.
