Birmingham seeks contractors for 拢2bn framework Birmingham City Council has begun the search for contractors to deliver a new 拢2bn framework covering jobs across the West Midlands. The council, through its procurement body Constructing West Midlands (CWM), has published a prior information notice for the framework, which will comprise new-build, fit-out and refurb work in the area. It will replace CWM鈥檚 major capital works framework, which currently uses Balfour Beatty, Bouygues, Morgan Sindall and Wilmott Dixon and comes to an end in September 2019.

Skanska wins 拢141m luxury Knightsbridge deal Skanska has landed a 拢141m deal to build a high-end mixed-use scheme in central London. The contractor has signed a deal with Saudi-based investor Olayan Group to build the K1 commercial and residential development in Knightsbridge. Chelsfield is working as developer on behalf of the Olayan Group for the building, which is situated between Knightsbridge鈥檚 Harrods and Harvey Nicholls stores.

Spurs new stadium in pictures Fresh images of Tottenham Hotspur鈥檚 new 62,000-seater stadium have emerged as the completion deadline approaches for Mace鈥檚 拢800m project. The latest developments at the site include the mounting of floodlights on the new stadium鈥檚 south stand and the installation of a giant video screen.
