Six firms win 拢60m Northern Ireland framework
Six companies have been awarded places on a 拢60m framework to provide consultancy on TransportNI鈥檚 Major Works Programme. Aecom, Amey, Arup, Atkins, Mouchel (now WSP) and RPS Ireland were all awarded spots on the framework. Balfour鈥檚 拢130m Operation Stack plans scrapped
Plans for a 拢250m lorry park to be built by Balfour Beatty under a 拢130m deal have been scrapped, after the government opted against defending a judicial review of the scheme. Highways England said it was now looking to develop plans for a new lorry park in Kent to help ease the congestion caused by cross-Channel crossings, after attempts to build the park while meeting environmental obligations failed. Carillion JV lines up 拢360m-worth of Middle East contracts
Carillion鈥檚 Oman joint venture has landed a 拢240m deal to design and build a new hospital in one of the Middle East country鈥檚 biggest cities. Carillion Alawi, the firm鈥檚 JV with Oman鈥檚 Zawawi family, has been chosen by the country鈥檚 health ministry as preferred bidder to construct the New Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, the biggest city in southern Oman. The firm also revealed that it was set to sign a deal worth 拢120m to design and build another hospital in Khasab, northern Oman. Read the full article on the Construction News .
