BAM awarded retail unit

BAM Construct UK have been appointed as the main contractor for a scheme by Henry Boot Developments on land at Dunmere Road in Bodmin. This scheme comprises of the construction of a retail unit of 1,687sqm, as part of a larger development for this site. It is anticipated that work will start on site before Christmas 2014 for a period of 25 weeks. Boyes Rees Architects are the architects who designed this 拢2.2 million scheme.

Works complete on 拢3m Asda

Work has completed on a scheme by Asda Stores Ltd on land at Chaser Court in the Greyhound Retail Park, Chester. RG Group Ltd completed this work on 3rd November 2014. This 拢3 million scheme comprised the fit-out of the new Asda supermarket of 6.978sqm. The shell works were completed on 29th August 2014.

Consultations starts on theme park

The first stage of public consultations are currently underway from 5th November to 15th November 2014 for the 拢2billion Paramount Theme Park on Swanscombe Peninsula, Kent. Plans are likely to be submitted in 2015.

Cheesegrater steel bolts break off structure, investigation underway

Contractor Laing O鈥橰ourke and structural engineer Arup are carrying out a full investigation at the Leadenhall Building after two 1 m-long bolts broke off the 47-storey landmark building.

One of the metre-long bolts fell to the ground, the building鈥檚 developer British Land confirmed.
