Laing O’Rourke’s £200m Dumfries hospital wins planning approval

Dumfries and Galloway Council has granted detailed planning permission for a new £200m hospital to be built by Laing O’Rourke.
 
The hospital will be built on green field land next to the Dumfries by-pass, subject to financial close in early 2015.
 
It is expected to cost around £200m under the Scottish government’s non-profit-distributing model, an alternative to the traditional private finance initiative model that ensures profits are reinvested into the public sector.

Severfield has announced new contracts worth £43m, including its appointment to Liverpool Football Club’s Anfield stadium redevelopment.

Carillion has appointed Severfield as the steelwork contractor for the expansion of Liverpool FC’s Main Stand.

Mace confirmed for Vauxhall Sky Gardens while Galliford Try wins new Riverside phases

Frasers Property has confirmed its contractors for three new London residential schemes, with contracts awarded worth more than £130m.

Mace has won the £65m Vauxhall Sky Gardens scheme, in which development partners Caddick Developments and yoo Capital will each take a 10 per 

cent stake.

Originally granted planning permission in 2010 by Lambeth Borough Council, Vauxhall Sky Gardens is a 36-storey tower providing 239 homes as well as offices, shops and leisure space.
