MoD launches 拢2.9bn replacement for CarillionAmey FM deal The Defence Infrastructure Organisation is inviting companies to bid for a 拢2.9bn facilities management contract that will replace the one previously held by CarillionAmey. The Future Defence Infrastructure Services hard FM contract will cover the Ministry of Defence鈥檚 housing stock, and will replace the five-year 拢1.7bn National Housing Prime deal the CarillionAmey joint venture won in 2014. Amey completed the acquisition of Carillion鈥檚 67 per cent share of the JV last month, and will carry out the existing Prime contract until its scheduled conclusion early next year.

Mace scoops 拢180m Olympic Park towers Mace has been picked by developer Get Living for a 拢180m scheme comprising 524 homes in the Olympic Park鈥檚 East Village. Designed by architect HawkinsBrown, the plans for the N06 East Village include two towers of 26 and 31 storeys in height and will take the number of homes in the neighbourhood built by Get Living to 2,500. Two 10-storey pavilions have been merged into a single development and will be connected by an inhabited sky-bridge.

Hackney picks Morgan Sindall for 拢384m Britannia scheme Morgan Sindall has been chosen by Hackney Council as the preferred bidder for phase one of its 拢384m Britannia development. The contractor has signed a preconstruction agreement with the council for the package, which will deliver a new leisure centre and a 1,100-place secondary school next to Shoreditch Park. The leisure centre will be located on existing outdoor asphalt courts, while the academy will be built on the site of the current Britannia Leisure Centre and car park.
