Tenders are currently being invited for the 拢24 million town centre transport scheme in Luton for Luton Borough Council. Works are expected to commence July 2013 and be carried out over a period of 18 months. Works will include removal of non-town centre road traffic and improving pedestrian/cycle linkages. The main elements of the package are a new high quality bus station, pedestrian/cycle facilities and junction alterations to provide priority for pedestrians, cyclists and buses.
