Tenders have now been returned for the 拢450 million highways and transportation services framework for Gloucestershire County Council. Contractors are expected to be selected by late 2013 and works commence from April 2014 for a period of 36 months. Works will include winter maintenance, structural maintenance, drainage, bridges and structures and route maintenance, safety and infrastructure improvements, management and design of major projects, public rights of way, signals design, asset data collection, work scheduling, highway inspection, street lighting and associated IT system.
